- Capture a recipe, wherever inspiration finds you.
Photograph a book or handwritten card, save a web recipe, or bring in a video you have permission to use. Social links need accompanying captions or a transcript; a link alone is not enough.
- Make it yours. Connect it to your kitchen.
Adjust the timing, ingredients and picture. The proposed Yomli certified mark means ingredients, metric quantities and serving basis have passed compatibility checks. A captured draft needs those checks first; public sharing has a separate permission review.
- Let everyone have a say in what’s for dinner.
Vote on dinner, choose a cooking turn and bring the household’s favourites into one shared plan. Shared play is part of the connected experience in development.
- Let Yomli work out how much your table needs.
Two adults and children aged 4 and 9 give 3.3 portions. For a recipe with 200 g of dry rice for 2 portions, the meal needs 330 g.
- Use what you have. List just what’s missing.
330 g of dry rice needed, less 100 g of matching dry rice already in the pantry, leaves 230 g on the shopping list. Unknown quantities still need a check.
- Take your list to your favourite retailer.
Connections are in development for Harris Farm, Coles and Woolworths, starting with Harris Farm. Review product matches, pack sizes and availability separately. You complete checkout; Yomli never places an order.
- Check what arrived. Keep the pack dates in view.
Review received amounts and read use-by or best-before dates from the packaging before saving. A receipt’s purchase date is not a use-by date.
- Less to juggle. More joy around the table.
Follow the next step, keep the timing close and enjoy making something good. Yomli is your companion from the first idea to the last mouthful.

How does Yomli turn a recipe into a meal plan?
Keep the recipe’s ingredients, quantities, serving basis and method together. Add it to a day, choose who’s eating, and use that plan to work out the ingredients your household needs.
Can I make a captured recipe my own?
Review the captured draft, adapt ingredients to your preferences, adjust the timing and add your own picture. Keep the original source alongside your version. A social recipe link needs captions or a transcript to supply the recipe details.
How does Yomli work out the quantities?
Yomli scales from the recipe’s serving basis using adult, guest and age-banded child portions. For example, 200 g of dry rice for two portions becomes 330 g for a 3.3-portion household meal.
How does the pantry change my shopping list?
Known stock of the same ingredient and form is counted against the plan. If your meal needs 330 g of dry rice and you already have 100 g, the list needs another 230 g. Unknown amounts remain visible for you to check.
What does the Yomli certified mark mean?
The mark is designed to identify recipes whose ingredient identities, metric quantities and serving basis have passed Yomli compatibility checks. It connects a recipe to planning, portions and shopping. It is not a nutrition endorsement or a guarantee of retailer stock. Read our recipe standard.
Can Yomli explain ingredient quality and origin?
The useful answer starts with the source: the current product label and any recorded ingredient evidence. An Australian ingredient name does not prove Australian-grown origin. When information is missing, Yomli should ask you to check rather than invent an answer.
Does Yomli place my grocery order?
You choose the retailer and review the products, pack sizes and substitutions. Yomli’s role is to help carry your list through the shop. You always approve and complete checkout yourself.
